What is anti-wrinkle treatment?

Wrinkles occur when muscles in the face are constantly active, creating dynamic lines which eventually lead to static lines.  By minimising muscle movement, we can control the degree of wrinkle formation, giving you a long-term youthful appearance.  Anti-wrinkle treatment has been known to be safe for many years in cosmetic procedures and works by blocking nerve pathways from connecting to the adjacent muscle.  The procedure is temporary and normal functioning of the muscle returns after the effects of the treatment wear off. 

 

The usual areas where our anti-wrinkle treatment is used is around the eyes, for frown lines and the forehead.  For example, as we raise our eyebrows, dynamic lines appear on the forehead.  By using anti-wrinkle treatment here we will still have movement of our eyebrows but the lines will not appear.  This is a completely natural way to improve our appearance without it being noticeable.  The same theory applies for when we are smiling with our eyes or frowning with an angry expression.

What is the process?

Our anti-wrinkle treatment process is quick and comfortable. Tiny injections are carefully placed into the target muscles and that's it.  Injections can also be placed into certain muscles to achieve a certain look.  For example If somebody wants their eyebrows to lift we can help by relaxing the muscle that pulls the eyebrows down.  Or if someone has multiple lines on the forehead we can target specific areas to reduce those lines.  In that way anti-wrinkle treatments can be tailored to each individual to create their desired effect. There is a small amount of aftercare steps to follow for the following day and then you can enjoy the results.

How long does it last?

The effects begin to appear after 7-10 days with optimal effect occurring around the 14th day.  The duration of treatment typically last between 3-4 months, after which you can return to the clinic for another treatment.
